This is the very last song that I recoreded from the Piano Opera. It was extremely intimidating at first. But once you get through it, it should not be too overwhelming except for a few problem spots involving the 4th and 5th fingers. Put it this way, the notes make sense, even though that doesn’t make the piece any easier. But due to my previous injury, my hands get completely tensed up when I play certain things (like 0:30…0:40, and the ending). This is the same passage that immediately precedes the starting of this video. If I had played the first half of the piece with that passage I wouldn’t be able to finish as my forearms would be hard as a rock by the end. Even after 0:30…0:40 you can imagine my hands are completely tensed as I wait for the first “ritard”. As such, I don’t think I can physically record the whole piece. Instead of skipping it, I just did the difficult second half. People are going to skip the first slow section anyway.
After I recorded the complete Final Fantasy Piano Collections, I discovered the Final Fantasy “Piano Opera”. The “Piano Collections” appear to be so elementary compared to the “Piano Opera”. My next project is to record the complete Piano Opera. But this time I’ll take my time to make sure the pieces are more polished. I’m hoping to release one piece each week. Please stay tuned.
