Idol is such a popular piece that’s played everywhere. Because of that I thought it’s from KPop Demon Hunters (I still haven’t watched). Turned out it’s “Your Idol”, which is different from this “Idol”. This makes me think maybe Oshi no Ko is actually a great anime, otherwise the song wouldn’t be this popular. My daughter asked me way back to record this but for some reason I kept putting off working on this one. I think it’s because it’s so tiring to play those octave jumps. I generally don’t memorize music, so having to look at the sheet while playing the jumps presents a difficult situation. In the end I had to figure out the best time to take a peek at the keys.
As with all of my performances, I have my own interpretation, so the tempo, dynamics, etc may feel quite different from the original recording. Simply put, I play the way I like it.
