Joe Hisaishi is an absolute legend when it comes to Anime music. I’m blessed to have grown up watching Studio Ghibli movies; they are just so magical, and Hisaishi’s music played a huge part! So it’s great that Animenz put this medley together. My favorite is actually Path of the Wind. I have yet to find another arrangement that sonuds as natural as this one.
The con, this medley is 14.5 minutes long! After I left classical, I rarely do pieces longer than 10 minutes. Even though I consider this one of the easier Animenz arrangements, playing through the whole thing mistake-free was extremely difficult. So please don’t mind my mistakes in there. All my takes have mistakes, this one just has them in less important places.
As with all of my performances, I have my own interpretation, so the tempo, dynamics, etc may feel quite different from the original recording. Simply put, I play the way I like it.
