Cha-la Head Cha-la, from Dragon Ball Z, music by Chiho Kiyooka, piano arranged by Animenz, played by Richard Yang on Yamaha N1X with Garritan CFX VST.
Dragon Ball Z is gotta be the oldest anime that I know. After listening to the OST, I can now appreciate this arrangement a bit more, which I would otherwise describe as rather “unconventional”. It’s less than 2 minutes but it’s a lot more difficult than I expected. The very beginning took me several days to really get up to speed, which really surprised me.
As with all of my performances, I have my own interpretation, so the tempo, dynamics, etc may feel quite different from the original recording. Simply put, I play the way I like it.
