Suzume no Tojimari Medley, music by RADWIMPS and Kazuma Jinnouchi, piano arranged by Animenz, played by Richard Yang on Yamaha N1X with Garritan CFX VST.
For my Animenz binge-recording effort, it usually takes me close to a week to learn the notes and another week to polish. I recorded this on Day 4, surprisingly quick, which makes this a good starter medley that most people should be able to play. The only part that I would consider a bit “annoying” was 3:13 with the octave jumps. I’m usually okay with octaves and jumps without having to really look. But this section actually required that I stare at the keys while playing, that doesn’t happen often, which also means some might find this difficult! I also want to mention that of all the Animenz arrangements I’ve recorded to date, this piece has the most excessive use of 10th’s!!
0:00 Suzume Main Theme
2:08 Sky Over Tokyo
3:18 Most Difficult Part
4:16 Closing the Door
5:47 Best Part
6:35 Kanata Haluka
As with all of my performances, I have my own interpretation, so the tempo, dynamics, etc may feel quite different from the original recording. Simply put, I play the way I like it.
