Dance with Steel Ball Run, music by Yugo Kanno, piano arranged by Animenz, played by Richard Yang on Yamaha N1X with Garritan CFX VST.
It’s been 9 months since Animenz’s last upload. This time, it’s a jazzy one. I can see that Animenz has been trying to incorporate more and more jazz elements into his arrangements. The jazzy run in the middle section is probably the closest to a jazz improv. All Jojo’s arrangements are quite rhythmic, this one turned out to be the easiest one. Took 5 days to get here. But I’ve been so consumed by / addicted to these AI Chinese dramas, otherwise I would spend a bit more time to polish it, especially the rhythm.
As with all of my performances, I have my own interpretation, so the tempo, dynamics, etc may feel quite different from the original recording. Simply put, I play the way I like it.
