Even though I’ve never played the game, having recorded both NieR Piano Collections albums I can say NieR has one of the best music unlike any other game. Animenz’s arrangement of Weight of the World captures the beauty of the original theme, the rhythmic elements, and even manages to include a few interesting arpeggios while keeping the difficulty reasonable.
As with all of my performances, I have my own interpretation, so the tempo, dynamics, etc may feel quite different from the original recording. Simply put, I play the way I like it.
