It’s been 9 months since Animenz’s last release (Frieren), making this video quite precious. This piece lacks Animenz’s usual rhythmic elements; instead, it’s more impressionistic. This is one of the easier arrangements so I believe most people can have some fun playing the piece.
The A2 key on my Yamaha N1X was broken so I hadn’t recorded anything for a LONG time. Also, I had been going all out on Iris Out and this piece slipped away slightly. I recorded this an hour after my key got fixed. In order to make today’s release I didn’t have time to re-record to fix a couple of avoidable mistakes.
As with all of my performances, I have my own interpretation, so the tempo, dynamics, etc may feel quite different from the original recording. Simply put, I play the way I like it.
