This is the 2nd 2-piano piece in this series. This was not done as good as the last one. In the middle section, Piano 2 does not have clear beats to set the rhythm. Evidently I can’t really keep count.
Final Fantasy XI, while the music appears fairly simple, there’s a lot more to it than I thought. All the pieces actually require a lot more attention to the touch and pedaling. The arrangement is unlike any of the previous Piano Collections that I recorded. While these pieces are not as memorable as the previous ones, there’s a satisfying sophistication in each of the pieces.
Originally I started with the Final Fantasy Piano Collections from V to X-2. Then I discovered the much more difficult Piano Opera arrangement. After recording all these, while I was concerned I ran out of Final Fantasy music to record, I finally found the sheet music for FF-XI…XIII. I also purchased the sheet music for FF-XV. I will have to skip XII as none of the pieces makes any sense to me nor do I think they would be enjoyable to listen to for most. It’s unfortunate that nothing I play is perfect, but should be pretty close and enjoyable otherwise.
